All my pots are thrown. When they are dry I paint a range of coloured slips over stencils and wax resist, overlapping colours to produce greater tonal depth.
Currently, inspiration comes from looking at the ground ie: leaves and stalks strewn on the pavement, gathered around a drain grid or man-hole cover, or on a tarmac road surface.
Birds also feature quite often in my work.
