In conversation about the work he will show at our Summer Open Studios David O’Neill explained how “After a few years concentrating on large static figures, I’ve had a live sitter back in the studio in the person of Jeffery Portman, milliner. We are working on a large piece involving Jeff and some of his hats. Jeff sat for me a few years ago for a drawing session and it’s been great to have him back for some more detailed work”.
